Why do Christians idolize a cross when it is idolatry?
To all you guys posting that idolaters worship idols while christians use the cross as a symbol, I say; what do you think the so-called "idolaters" used idols for? The ancient pagans didn't seriously believe that their statutes were their actual Gods/Goddesses. They used them in the same way that modern Christians use a crucifix, to symbolize their intended deity. With that said; Christians who pray to a cross, or use a cross/crucifix as a symbol of their god are in fact idolaters, no "ifs" "ands" or "buts" about it, just get over it. Quit trying to twist words around to make yourselves sound more legitimate. A crucifix is an idol, it's a man-made object which bears a resemblance to a deity, and is used in prayer and worship, that is what an idol is. If you don't like it, then don't use the cross/crucifix.
