Can you be arrested for sexy chatting?

If a girl claims she is 18 and someone has a dirty chat with her, and then she admits she is really 17, can the person be arrested if he is over 18? Remember, she claimed to be 18and in college, and it wasn't until after she admitted she was 17. Can someone be arrested for that even though they were mislead? And no, it's not me.
