What do you think the US Stock Market will do in next couple of years?

I keep reading financial stories that say we are going to drop 50% again back to DOW 6000 or lower. How would that happen unless corporate profits went negative and unemployment went above 15% and interst rates went back up HIGH again? the last time we crashed was when BANKS were on verge of total collapse?/////Are these doom and gloom predictors just stuck out of this run from DOW 6500 to 12300 over last couple of years or are they short the markets? THOUGHTS? What are you doing ?
