He doesn't like her as anything more? Help!?
My name's Jenna, and I'm in, or was, in eighth grade when this happened, since school's over now. So yesterday, the last of school, we did this thing in Mrs. Heart's class. You were supposed to put a paper on your back, and people come and write a compliment on the paper. I have a lot of really close friends, like Jon and Maria. Maria's pretty, nice, and the art teacher's daughter. Jon's blonde, cute, really sweet, and popular, which Maria's not really, but that doesn't really matter to Jon, he's still nice to everyone. Last week Jon and Casey, who's also really sweet, were looking at Maria's yearbook after they signed it, and when they got to Jon's picture, it had a heart around. So Casey asked Maria, "Why's there a heart around Jon's picture?" She didn't really have a response to that, obviously. And that was really awkward between Maria and Jon, of course, especially since everyone thinks Jon likes me. About an hour before Mrs. Heart's class, at the end of Mrs. Gloom's class, Maria gave Jon her phone number. Then in Mrs. Heart's class when we writing on each other's backs, on mine Jon wrote," Yo Jen, your awesome!" After we were finished, Maria wanted to see mine, and she saw what Jon wrote, and then she let me see her paper. Her's said, "Maria, you're okay." So now she's upset. How can I cheer her up? Telling him to ask her out isn't an option, since he only likes her as a friend, and his parents won't let him date. And he is worth waiting for. Those were just answers I got yesterday, when I wasn't very specific. Help?
